PRESCRIPTION HEARTWORM PREVENTATIVE
The American Heartworm Society is recommending yearly heartworm testing. Southern Agriculture’s Veterinarians agree with this recommendation and will follow their guidelines. In order to purchase heartworm preventative you must be a client of our veterinarian and your cat or dog must be on the medication continuously with a negative heartworm check within the past year. For new clients, your animal must have had a negative heartworm check in the past 30 days and be seen by one of our vets to establish a client/patient relationship. Puppies four months of age & younger may start preventative without a negative heartworm check.
Iverhart Plus: Once-a-month flavored chew to prevent heartworm disease and treat and control roundworms and hookworms. Age requirement: 6 weeks or older.
